This guide will help you understand how our 30-day free trial works, how to transition to a fixed billing cycle, and how we assess and bill for usage.
1. Customer Signup and Free Trial
Step 1: Customer Signup
- When you sign the necessary agreements (privacy policy and terms and conditions), your 30-day free trial period begins.
- The signup date is recorded as the start date for your free trial.
Step 2: 30-Day Free Trial
- During this 30-day free trial, our Customer Success team will assist you with:
- Setting up your admin account.
- Syncing your HRIS with Atlas UP.
- Assigning user access levels.
- Loading recommended content and business data into Atlas UP.
- You will not be billed during this period.
Step 3: Trial Period Notification
- Seven days before your trial period ends, you will receive a reminder email.
- This email will inform you of the upcoming end of your free trial and provide an option to opt-out if you choose.
2. Transition to Fixed Billing Cycle
Step 4: End of Trial Period
- Your 30-day free trial ends 30 days after your signup date.
- From the end of your free trial, you will begin the billing cycle in arrears based on your usage for the first month after the trial period.
- Note: This first billing period may vary in length (from 1 to 59 days) to align with our fixed billing cycle.
Example Scenario:
- If you signed up on June 15th, your free trial will run from June 15th to July 14th.
- Your first billing period will be from July 15th to July 31st (17 days).
- You will receive your first invoice on August 1st for the period from July 15th to July 31st.
3. Fixed Billing Cycle Synchronization
Step 5: Assessing Usage
- On the last day of each month, we assess the number of active users for each customer.
- Only users with active accounts and activity in the prior month will be included in the bill. "Active with activity" means the user logged in and performed actions within Atlas UP during that month.
Step 6: Generating Invoices
- On the first day of each month, we generate invoices for the previous month's usage.
- You will only be billed for active users during the billing period. For example, if your company has 50 employees but only 20 accessed Atlas UP during the month, you will be billed for only those 20 users.
Key Points:
- First Billing Period: The first billing period after your free trial can vary in length to align with our fixed billing cycle starting on the 1st of each month.
- Free Trial Notification: You will receive a reminder email 7 days before the trial ends, giving you an option to opt-out.
- Fixed Billing: After the trial, all customers are billed monthly in arrears, with invoices generated on the 1st of each month for the previous month's usage.
